Our Founder ~ Dina Harris

Dina Harris, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of National Faith HomeBuyers, has more than 40 years of experience in the housing industry. Dina is responsible for more than 3,000 families being able to realize the American Dream of Homeownership.

Prior to creating National Faith Homebuyers Program, Dina worked in public housing serving as Deputy and Executive Director. She worked in public housing for 20 years establishing a Section 8 Program and an award winning Drug Elimination Program.

Her education includes Western Michigan University and Washtenaw County Community College studying both marketing and business administration. In 2006 Ms. Harris was offered and accepted into the Harvard School of Divinity Community Leadership Program with a national preeminent list of mega ministers.

Dina has spent the last twenty years as the Executive Director of the Washtenaw HomeBuyers Program, Faith Community HomeBuyers, and now National Faith HomeBuyers. All three nonprofits merged into one organization, the National Faith Homebuyers Program. Under Dina’s leadership, National Faith has counseled in excess of 10,000 families, leading to more than 3,000 first time home purchases.

Under her leadership, National Faith Homebuyers has managed a federal HOME and NSP downpayment program on behalf of Wayne County Government. She has successfully managed this program from 2002 – 2017 and has spent all funds allocated. She has also supported and managed downpayment programs in partnership with local and national banks.

National Faith Homebuyers in a two year period awarded mortgage free homes to veteran families (2014-2015) on Ford Field, Detroit in partnership with the Little Caesar Pizza Bowl team and on The Detroit Pistons Court in partnership with the Detroit Pistons.
